What we collect, and why
- On this website: the free checker runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type into it is sent to us. We use privacy-respecting analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) that do not use cookies or identify you. If we run advertising, a conversion tag may record that an order was completed.
- When you order: Stripe collects your name, email, billing address, business name and card details to take payment. We receive the order details but never your full card number. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to its processing.
- In the intake form: building address and details, equipment lists, maintenance arrangements, the names and roles of the people who look after the building, and twelve months of utility bills or usage data. We use this only to prepare your Kit and support you.
- Emails you send us: to answer you.
How your information is processed
Your intake information is used to draft your documents with the help of large language model software run by a third-party provider under terms that do not permit the provider to train on your data, and is then reviewed by a person. We remove personal details that are not needed for the drafts before sending text to that provider where practicable. We do not sell your information or share it with anyone else except the service providers that run our website, forms, email and payments.
Where it is kept and for how long
We are based in the United Kingdom; your information may be processed in the UK, the United States and the EU by our providers. We keep order and intake information for [24] months after delivery so that we can provide corrections and meet our legal obligations, then delete it. Payment records are kept as long as UK tax law requires.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to our use of it, by emailing us. If you are in the UK or EU you also have the right to complain to your data protection regulator.
